So here we go... Bringing the past into the 21st century. Not sure where to begin, so I'll just tell you a little about myself, and then figure out where to go.
Spent many school vacation days helping my Dad and Grandfather at their small storage vault in the London Silver Vaults in London. The business was strictly wholesale, absolutely no retail clients were allowed in. My father was on the road buying most days of the week, and when he wasn't travelling, he was in London buying & selling. Monday & Tuesday, buying in Scotland & Northern England, Wednesday selling in London, Thursday was buying in Brighton & surounding area, Friday early morning he was buying at Bermondsey and then back to the Vaults to do more selling. Sunday morning was buying at Cutler Street and then he would have dealers over at the house in the afternoon buying from him. So I remember many a Sunday morning or vacation day, getting up early to follow along behind my father.
At the age of 17, I finally decided I had had enough of school, and against the advice of my father, I became aan "antique dealer" full time. 33 Years later, I am still an "antique dealer" and although I am no longer travelling the roads and highways of the UK, I am still buying and selling silver, with an active turnover, now based in Manhattan, New York City, USA. www.EstateSilver.com
